Each team competing for the KATAMEYA NATIONS CUP shall consist of a 3 players from that country (must be passport holders of country the player is representing). Participants must be members of Katameya Heights with an official handicap. NO teams may use players of another nationality regardless of circumstances. Each team should nominate a Captain. Captain will be responsible for communicating information to his team when required and nominating the player in the event of playoff.

Deadline for Teams to be registered is Saturday 10th April 2010.
A reserve player may only play in the case of genuine illness or accident before the tournament starts. ONCE PLAY HAS STARTED, THE TEAMS AS NOMINATED, CANNOT ALTER. |

The Trophy tournament shall consist of 36 holes stroke play; 18 holes played each day. 1st round – Friday 16th & 2nd round – Saturday 17th April 2010. |

.In each 18 hole round, the total of the TWO lowest GROSS SCORES returned by the players of each team, shall constitute the team score for that round. The total of the team score per round, for three rounds, shall be the team’s score for the tournament. In addition Net scores will be awarded with full handicap allowance.

The KATAMEYA NATIONS CUP will be awarded to the team returning the lowest total gross score for the two rounds. Tournament will award the top 3 gross teams and top 3 net team prizes. Prize giving will immediately follow the event.
The individual Katameya Nations Cup Champion shall be the player who returns the lowest total gross score, over the 2 days of play. A prize will be awarded to the runner up of the Katameya Nations Cup. The Top 2 Net individuals will also be awarded. |

The KATAMEYA NATIONS CUP JUNIOR PRIZE will be awarded to 18 years or under on the first day of the tournament based on gross scores. A net prize will also be awarded.
Scoring on the course will be the individual scores with a full list of Team scores in the Tee Off Bar/Classic Lounge.

TIES:
In the event of a tie for the Winner of the KATAMEYA NATIONS CUP, the captain of each team that has tied shall nominate one player to play off hole by hole for a “sudden death” result, using holes 18 and 10 and the repeated loop until a result is achieved.
Ties for all other acknowledged Team positions in the prize list shall be decided by a count-back on the team score for the last 18; 9; 6; 3; 1 holes.
In the event of a tie for the winner of the INDIVIDUAL or JUNIOR PRIZE count back will be used.
No team may win more than one team prize with gross prizes taking precedence. A team will be awarded the prize for the highest ranking, for example “2nd Net” beats “3rd gross”. A player may win a major individual prize and a main team prize. Again in the individual, no player may receive more than one major prize. A junior if in an overall prize position will be awarded the overall prize and the junior award will go to the next highest ranked junior.

DRAW:
There will be a random draw for the first day of play. The second round will be drawn according to gross score order with leading gross score playing last. This is decided by first – in, last – out from an analysis sheet; count back is not relevant when considering the re-draw.
Members of the same team will not be drawn to play with each other in any round. |

| 9. |
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE may decide to reduce the number of rounds for the tournament to 1 round. The TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE may declare that the stipulated round on any day shall be less than 18 holes, provided that such declaration is made before commencement of play on that day.

The Tournament shall be played under the current Rules of Golf, as published by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, and the Local Rules as published by the Tournament Committee.

Golf Carts are permitted for the event. The third player (far right) in the draw is entitled to a cart on his own. However if a player in a group is not reserving a cart, then the other 2 players will be required to share a cart. The Starter on the first tee reserves the right to control golf cart use. The minimum number of carts required in a group will be enforced. |
